When life gave Becky Eisel and Kelly Klinger lemons (in the form of a global pandemic), they didn’t just make lemonade—they fired up a smoker and started casting spells on the food truck scene with their magical mix of comfort food and community connection. Enter Wicked Wiches & BBQ, a mobile culinary adventure that’s delighting locals and creating loyal fans one loaded spud at a time.

We stopped doing craft shows during COVID,” Becky explains, “but we still wanted to be out and about in the community.” That longing for connection led to something delicious. What started as a dream quickly became a mission: serve up great food with heart, and do it their way.
And Becky knows a thing or two about dedication. By day, she works in transplant immunology—yes, the real science kind. But food has always been in her soul. “I’ve always wanted to open a sandwich shop,” she says. “I even went back to school for restaurant and hospitality management just to prepare.”
From Science to Sandwiches
It wasn’t long before the dream met reality in the form of a custom food truck, co-owned with longtime friend Kelly. Together, they created a menu packed with smoked meats, bold flavors, and a healthy dash of witchy personality. Their fan favorites—the Wicked ‘Wich and the Smothered Spuds—aren’t just popular, they’re part of the brand’s lore.
“We hand-smoke our meats and top our loaded spuds with cheese, sour cream, meat, and BBQ sauce,” Becky shares. “It’s a customer favorite every single time.”
When asked what sets their food apart, the answer is as heartfelt as it is humble:
“Our secret ingredient is the love we put into our food. And we’re not kidding—it really matters.”
That deep care carries through to every aspect of the business. From sourcing ingredients to building customer relationships, Becky and Kelly keep it personal. “If love and support could be listed as an ingredient on the side of the truck, it would be the first one,” they say with a smile.
Community, Connection, and Cheesesteaks
Wicked Wiches & BBQ isn’t just a food truck—it’s a community builder on wheels. Their favorite place to park? “Definitely the amphitheater in our hometown,” says Becky. “It’s local, it’s lively, and the crowd is always excited to see us.”
That connection has led to some unforgettable moments—like the time they sold out of their Wicked Reuben on St. Patrick’s Day. “We had a line that didn’t stop,” Becky recalls. “People kept coming back saying it was the best Reuben they’d ever had.”
Support from their local chamber of commerce, fans at events, and fellow vendors has helped fuel their momentum. And while the ride hasn’t been without bumps, it’s been a rewarding journey.
“The first lesson we learned? We could’ve gone bigger right from the start,” Becky laughs. “We underestimated how fast we’d grow.”
Wisdom from the Wiches
For anyone dreaming about getting into the food truck game, Becky and Kelly offer this advice:
“Find something unique to sell—not just your typical burger or taco. It’s got to stand out. And be prepared. It’s a ton of work, but if you’re passionate, it’s worth it.”
And passionate they are. With plans to add additional trucks and new menu items—like a Brisket Cheesesteak that's already making mouths water--Wicked Wiches & BBQ is only getting started.
A Witchy Future Ahead
So what’s next for this all-female powerhouse team? “More trucks, more events, more guests to feed,” says Becky. “We’re already booked solid through the end of the year. Five years from now? Who knows. But we’re dreaming big.”
